Picture this: It’s a rainy, stormy night in Southern Florida, and you’re trying to forget about the loud, gusty winds outside. Despite your efforts to ignore it, the wind reminds you it’s there in the worst possible way — it causes your power to go out.
If that happens and your generator doesn’t turn on, you’ll be stuck in the dark. But that does not mean you’re powerless. Prevent that from happening again with Reliable Power Systems.
Protect Your Family & Investment With Mobile Link
We work with our partners at MobileLink to provide our customers in Broward, Martin, Miami, Palm Beach, Collier, Lee and Port St. Lucie with an innovative remote monitoring solution. MobileLink by Generac allows our customers to monitor their generator’s status, performance, and get alerts in real-time, from anywhere in the world, using a mobile device or computer 24/7.
Most importantly, if a generator issue arises, the MobileLink system promptly alerts both the customer and our monitoring service. Our team of over 25 skilled technicians will analyze the notification and communicate with the customer to determine whether an on-site visit is necessary to resolve the problem. Operating through a cellular network, MobileLink allows some alarms to be rectified remotely while continuously monitoring generator health metrics such as battery life and maintenance schedules.
At Reliable, we provide real-time monitoring by MobileLink for all our customers, ensuring immediate alerts and prompt diagnostics or repairs. This guarantees your whole home generator remains in optimal working condition, ready to provide power during storms and outages.

How Does The Technology Work?
Our Mobile Link monitoring solutions place an Mobile Link True interface on your generator, which captures analog and digital sensor data. Older machines’ monitoring is limited to critical items like battery voltage, operational status, and key sensor data. New systems can provide up to 256 points of data through a standard MODBUS connection.
That data is sent over a 3G, 4G, or LTE cellular data connection to Mobile Link cloud servers, where it is processed and sent to Mobile Link personnel for monitoring and your mobile interface for display. Mobile Link software and personnel will monitor your generator for problems and send notifications via text and email as necessary.
Your monitoring services contract includes the cellular data connection and the Mobile Link monitoring device.

FAQs
Is remote monitoring really worth it for my generator?
When you live in South Florida, your home will inevitably be in the path of a hurricane. Sometimes we can go without these storms, but they hit eventually. As such, you want to ensure your generator is always prepared for a power outage.
If something is wrong with your generator, a remote monitoring system will not only immediately alert you but also immediately alert us. This means you’ll get repairs much faster, and your generator will be ready in an emergency.
Do I still need remote monitoring if I have my generator serviced regularly?
Generator maintenance is a great way to ensure your generator is in good condition. However, it’s not a foolproof system for avoiding problems. Some issues with your generator may arise regardless of how often you have it serviced, so remote monitoring is an extra precaution. It’ll allow us to catch the need for repairs in real time instead of waiting for your next service appointment.
