New disturbance in Gulf could bring fleeting tropical storm

The tropical wave in the Gulf of Mexico has a 40% chance of developing.

The National Hurricane Center stated it would bring heavy rainfall to southeastern Texas and southwestern Louisiana over the next few days.

Environmental conditions are expected to be marginally favorable for development before the disturbance moves inland over the northwestern Gulf coast.

Additional information on the rainfall and flooding potential can be found in products issued by your local National Weather Service Forecast Office.
