Under the Driveway LP Tank Installation for Liquid Propane Generator in Boca Raton

May 23, 2012

All generators run off of a fuel source. This source can be diesel, gas, liquid propane or natural gas. Many homes already have a fuel source that they use to run their water heater or oven such as natural gas or propane. Natural gas was not as common in past years but has now been seen more often as they do not require a tank that has to be filled consistently. If one of our clients has neither natural gas nor a liquid propane tank we can install a propane tank as their generators fuel source. These tanks are installed underground and will be tied directly into your generator.

About Liquid Propane Generators in Southeast Florida

Liquid propane is stored in a large tank wither 250, 500 or 1,000 gallons and will be installed on your property. Depending on the size of your tank you can run your generator constantly for at least 4 days in the event of a power outage. Depending on your jobs circumstances we may contract with a local installer to put in your propane tank. Our owner is also certified to install the tank if another contractor isn’t available.

How We Install Liquid Propane Tanks for Generators

Many of our customers have no open areas for us to install the tank. This can be due to small property lines, underground utilities or other obstructions. Often we will install the tank right under your existing driveway. This type of installation results in a streamlined propane tank that will increase your home’s value and provide you with the essential fuel you need. When we install the tanks we do restore the original area back to good condition. This often includes restoring pavers or driveway surfaces.

Why Use a Stand-By Generator for your Florida Home

You may be wondering if a stand-by generator is worth the money when you can purchase a portable generator for far less at your local home improvement store. There are several reasons why stand-by generators are cheaper and safer in the long run. With a portable generator, they give off harmful carbon monoxide fumes that can cause great harm to your family if they are not properly ventilated. Filling the generator constantly with gasoline or diesel also proves to be expensive and maybe impossible if you are unable to get to a gas station for fuel. With a stand-by generator, they are urn weekly to keep their components properly lubricated. Your portable generator likely sits in a garage until the power goes out and isn’t properly maintained. Las but not least, your stand-by generator would kick in automatically where a portable generator will need to be manually turned on and hooked up to the electronics you want to run.
